HI everyone, I'm new here so I hope if you don't mind me asking a question first up!
I have a new 64-bit PC, with Windows 7 preinstalled.
I had Office 2007 (Cd and licence key, 32 bit version) on an old computer and I was hoping to reinstall it on the new box.
I am set up an an administrator but when I try to install I get a error 1303 - the installation file is trying to access a file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\SourceEngine but the system won't allow it. I have tried everyhting in your suggestions - compatability manager, run as administrator, installing it in a different folder etc, holding my tongue out, but I keep running into the folder permission issue.
Has anyone else had this problem ?
Everything I read on the Microsoft site indicates that I should have no worries :sarc: but haven't had any luck so far.
Any helpful suggestions out there much appreciated.

Set permissions on the destination folder to full for Everyone and System.

Administrator access alone won't cut it.
