Offline HP Photosmart C4599 All-in-one printer

Hey guys,

Would apprieciate some help with a problem im having. My C4599 printer has suddenly started going offline whenever you try to print something from a computer. It is connected wirelessly to my laptop and wired to my mothers, and niether work.

It worked after we upgraded to windows 7, but only stopped working properly the other weekend, when everything was unplugged incase of powersurges while we were away for the weekend. It still prints from the printer itself, such as photocopying and printing diagnostics, just not when the job is sent from the computer.

Try update the drivers from here:

Well the patch didnt fix it, and I had tried that patch the other day. I am currently downloading the full set of drivers, but that will take a little while. We will see if that does anything.

An update, When attempting to download the full driver set, it hangs at 0 seconds to go, I've let it go for half an hour and still it hangs.

I hate to nudge a thread, but this is still an issue and I cannot figure out how to solve this problem. Help is appreciated,
