On my wife's Windows 7 PC - I notice that in the system restore entries, there are approx 4 entries which date back to the time (2014) when the OS was first installed. These seem to be immovable. All later ones get added and can be removed in the normal way.
Although this does not cause any problems, it would be nice to get rid of these old entries.
Any ideas / suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks in advance

Hi - thanks for your prompt reply and suggestions, I have done these tweaks previously but without success.

I did however forget the removal facility via CCleaner. When I try this the restore points however do not appear on a list!
Whereas, if I go to windows system restore and navigate to where the points are shown - as soon as I click 'show more points' (or words to that effect) - behold 5 entries from June of last year are shown.

I await any further thoughts that posters may have:)
