On Screen Keyboard won't work on Browser

Hello,

Hopefully I'm posting in the right place. Sorry if not.
The problem is that the standard On Screen Keyboard from windows simply stopped working on browsers, both Chrome and IE. I use it a lot to make quick searches and can't figure out what's happening.
It works fine on notepad or anything else, but not on browsers.
I can open it and click the keys but nothing appears on the box that I selected to type on.
I also noticed that if I restart the system it will work for a while (20 minutes or so) before it stops.
Haven't installed/uninstalled anything before the problem started.
Help is much appreciated.
