i don't use the lan card to connect to the internet since i have a wireless adapter. i do however use it as a network bridge for connectivity for my xbox 360.

so i was playing xbox live until suddenly i got disconnected. i checked my computer to see that it said the network cable was unplugged. i already tried to uninstall drivers, reboot, tried a different cable etc. i narrowed it down to the nforce network controller. any help would be much obliged :)

Update: fixed it myself, im guessing it was an irq problem because i went into the bios and just disabled some ports i wasnt using like the parallel port for example, and the problem has cleared up.

Thank you shaolinchamp. This might work for me. I am helping out a friend with a similar issue. I would try it before reinstalling his OS.
