Only work in safe mode!

Review very carefully the procedure I gave.

Remember you must use the 32 bit version on a 32 bit system and the 64 bit version on a 64 bit system.

You can NOT put both on the same usb stick.

Read the procedure very carefully.

Do not run any other programs at the same time.

If you are using any antivirus software other than Microsoft Security Essentials, then disable your antivirus software.

If MalwareBytes is active, then exit from MalwareBytes.

I have never had that procedure which I gave fail. I'm interested in where you have deviated from the procedure given.

The procedure must be followed precisely. Don't guess at the next step or try to improve upon the procedure.

Will do, I did have another program running. It was FireFox, I missed the part about no other programs. (Not the best eyes) sorry about that. I have it running right now via a disc but I will try that as soon as it finishes. Almost done now.

Still having same issues, on Android there is a system check app you can download. Tests the gpu, CPU, ram, etc. Is there one of those for win 7?

Nothing to test win 7, only your hardware.
Read SFC /scannow and follow the directions there.

I have read the thread. If you have done restores and a clean full reinstall of Win7and you have the same problems, you have done something wrong along the way. You may be installing some borky software too.

Thank you too, you have been helping around the clock!

By same issues I mean it ark freezes up in normal mode and will not do anything. It literally takes 10+ minutes to load the task manager. Still runs fine with an occasional freeze in safe mode.

I bought the win 7 disk from Microsoft and have used it several times and it worked fine so I don't think that is it. I done the install twice. The second time I deleted all partitions Nd re partitioned just to be sure because the reformat and clean install didn't seem to help. I'll try the hardware tests and post here as soon as they are done or before if I get post notifications.

Yay! I finally got this fixed! Sorry it took me so long to get back with you. It quit working completely so I have been working with it and was able to fix it. I deleted the partition and booted and attempted to run without any OS or partitions (outside of default reserved). Then I created a new partition and formatted about 10 times. To overwrite anything existing. After doing this I was able to run a full install just fine. I found out that it never really completely installed the entire time I have done this even though I deleted and re-partitioned. I know this because when I was installing it said my windows key was invalid. I later after reading found that the disc I have is an upgrade. :-| Oh well I wont dwell on that. I now need to access the recovery partition that contains the windows vista install info. (windows vista home premium 32 bit) I know it still exists I just don't know how to access it. Any ideas?
