Hi all,
I need a little help.
We got a new computer in the office and it is running Win 8.1. We also have 2 older computers and they are running win XP. I have them all networked together and everybody can see and edit all files on any computer. So far so good.
Here is the problem:
MS Access will not open any database files. I get the attached popup.
The file is not outside my intranet. It resides in a subfolder of “Documents”.
The folder is called “Data Base Files”. As I said, the file can be seen by anybody, but can only be opened in the win8.1 machine, where it resides.
Q: how can I open the file on the XP machines? Of cause they all have Access installed.
How do I get around the popup?
Thanks
Sven
