When I was went to use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall a program I noted there was a program titled Open VPN 2.3.4 in the list of programs. I do not remember installing this, so I used Revo to remove it. Now I am wondering if I should have let it be. Should I reinstall it?

TJS mate from what I can gather it is something that runs in the background and personally I would delete such stuff myself because who knows what else is attached see this

I am guessing it was loaded with another program or what Lenovo loaded - usually bloatware but that is just a guess on my part.

If the machine is running ok without it then leave alone. I have Toshiba laptops and I have replaced the original installs with OEM versions of Windows to get rid of the Toshiba rubbish and I have never had a problem. Most of bloatware is in my mind loaded with the interest of keeping the machine makers costs down through a form of subsidy / sponsorship.

PS I meant to add if you want some extra performance and don't mind losing some of the "bling" such as transparency then follow this tutorial (my bible) http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11728-optimize-windows-7-a.html

Ok mate your choice but just be aware that it is probably bloatware and I think you would benefit from using some of the tips in that tutorial I linked especially the system config at power on. That is point 9 and I prefer the method 3 to do that you really don't need anything ticked in the start up tab unless you leave the security but th epoint is all those services will eventually load and it just means the machine will boot faster.

No, I meant I was not going to reinstall the program. I do plan on using the tutorial you gave me the link for.
