Any way to have the windows explorer icon on the taskbar open a window that is already snapped to one side? Rather than having to manually snap it? I don't mind if it applies to all of the applications on the taskbar either.

Just want to shave a few milliseconds off my time.

First world problems :p

Hi,

There is 2 real options.

As far as I know, there is no inherent option for windows 7 explorer to do this

Your 2 options are,

Download a program such as Windows Manager which you can set the location of applications when they are loaded next time.

The easier option is to snap the window to the left/right, and then resize it slightly inwards from the top/bottom corner and then close it with the red x. When you reopen it, it will be basically snapped to the side. I've personally tested this on my machine which is also windows 7 and it works fine :)

Hope this helps you out.

Regards,

Moltenz
