Solved 'Open With' setting changed for .exe files

Hello,

Didn't know where to put this posting so I put it here.
I have made a huge mistake, on trying to open a .exe file type I foolishly decided to try and open it with another program and forgot to uncheck the box for doing this on every occasion. I am not stuck with every .exe program opening as IE.
I would try an do a system restore back to last week however the program to do that is a .exe and so cannot be opened. I was wondering if there was any way i could get it to open as normal.

You can restore the default 'Open With' settigns using the below tutorial.

Thanks for the response, all files are now opening as they should do.

I have one problem left though, all of the .exe files have kept the icon image of IE, I was wondering how I could put this back to default,

Sorry for that, something changed and now all of the original icons are back, thank for the help
