I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit - no internal DVD drive, so I have an Amazon basics drive with a USB attachment. I inserted a DVD of photographs from a friend, opened them in Windows Live Photo Gallery. I saved a few photos and disconnected the DVD drive. I have been unable to open Windows Live Photo Gallery since then (two days ago). I get an error message about error 0x80070057. I googled possible solutions, downloaded a new version of Windows Photo Gallery (no longer Live apparently), purchased a Drive Update and Cleaner program, and still get the same message. If I reconnect the DVD player and insert the disc of photos I can open Photo Gallery. What can I do to solve this issue? Thank you.
