I need serious help guys.

my 15 month old lenovo laptop will no longer boot up, it says 'operating system not found'

when i plug it in a external caddy and hook it to another computer it shows as 19gb but the drive is 320gb. I cannot open it to browse its contents as it asks me to format it. I have tried various data recovery software but no joy at all. I have tried MBR repair no joy. Ive tried a diagnostic on the drive and it comes back OK.

It comes up 19gb allocated and 298gb unallocated! this drive was nearly full.

Is there any suggestions?

I dont know whether the operating system randomly failed. But what i will say is the last time i was using the laptop i was actually using a MASTER BOOT tool to retrieve the MB from another drive and then restore that file to another drive, i dont know whether i touched the lenovos MB by accident? If i did how can i sort it out?

Appreciate your help

Ignore the above, i have fixed it!!!

To help others, this is what i did...

Downloaded mini tool partition wizard and recovered my operating system from the 298gb allocated space.

Download windows 7 recovery cd from your favourite site (wink). Repair windows at start up option.

Job done!

Running slow but at least i can recover my £100s of pounds worth of programs.
