I just installed Outlook 2010 on my new Samsung laptop running Windows 7 a few days ago (an upgrade from Outlook 2002 that I was previously using on my old computer running XP). My husband & I have 4 different email accounts, so I started configuring all of them on the new version & it all seemed to be working fine. Last night my husband moved our saved emails, etc., from our old computer to the new one. At first everything went smooth. All the stuff we still had on the old pc showed up in all the right places in our new inboxes. Once he was finished, we tested send/receive several times & it was all working fine. That is, until this morning...

After powering up the laptop & starting Outlook, I've discovered that all email accounts work EXCEPT our main account. This is the error message I keep getting:

Sending' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'Outlook data file cannot be accessed.'
Receiving' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'Outlook data file cannot be accessed.'

I used one of our other email accounts that work to send my husband an email showing him the error. He has no idea how to fix it & I have tried to find an answer online & can't. Can anyone (as if you're talking to a child) explain to me how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Thanks, Koolkat77 & KiwiOca! We tried repairing & scanning & that didn't work, so we deleted the main email account & then recreated it again. Now all is fine.
