Solved Outlook 2010 repeatedly sending out one email multiple times

Does anyone know how to stop Outlook 2010, on Windows 7, sending out my email multiples of times - it is very annoying for my recipients!
Any help is much appreciated.

Have tried simply downloading the headers for the Inbox?? Is there a mailserver running.?

Thanks Guys for all the suggestions.

I have actually found the cause! My antivirus was set to check outgoing emails. While it did this it kept the emails in the Outlook outbox hence Outlook kept sending them out repeatedly! Have now switched this feature off and all is OK.
