Overclock e6500 ??

I over clocked my intel E6500 to 3.33GHz. System seemed to run ok so I went through the shut down to make sure it restarted and ran a stress test for one hour with OCCT test pasted. I continued to run the system surfing the web, music, pic. and other things and after a few hours tried to restart again and system would not restart. And as far as CPU temps never got passed 60c So the question is why???

run prime 95 for a couple of hours blend test (tests cpu and ram) run real temp alongside to keep an eye on temps any errors at all indicate unstable oc

are you running at stock voltage?

What do you mean tried to restart?

just as it sounds after running for a few hours everything seemed OK and i hit the restart button and it would not boot back up. I did the same thing restart and complete shut down before I ever started occt and started ever time. No voltages were bumped a bit.

when it wouldnt boot at what point int the boot process did it stall?

overclocks can sometimes be odd , if its ok at stock then its an unstable oc , if your only hitting 60 degrees after one hour of occt with avoltage bump then thats amazing , and very unusual! what were you using to monitor your temps?

Reset the CMOS, does this fix it?

Ok I think I got it bumped up the v core just a bit more and found out that it would be more stable with cpu and memory clock at a 1:1 ratio. And I was using core temp.

rerun occt and that looks better it also got the temps up a bit
