We're talking about your local ip address. An easy way to figure out your internal ip address is to run "ipconfig" in a console window, your IPv4 address is your local ip. Enter the last digit(s) in that box and save your settings. Should fix your problem. Also make sure you have an entry there for both TCP and UDP.

And as I said above, setting your upload to unlimited is unwise unless you have say a dedicated T1 or something. You're not only throttling your download bandwidth, but it will also adversely effect your other internet activities, like browsing the internet. It's nice to give back, but do so without overloading your connection.

Make sure you're filling in all of the port boxes, similar to mine below:

Right, create a new entry, use the same settings as TCP, but just select UDP from the drop down box. Like this:

Reason I said to select both in the box was cause I'm able to do it on my Belkin router.

Glad you got it straightened out.

No problem, some of this stuff is way too complicated. And there's too much that can go wrong very easily. Glad we got it worked out, I think you'll find the torrents will no longer slow down. Keep us posted!

Ok seems to be ok now, no speeds under 10. And the upload works great now! Thanks a lot guys. Probably would be hunched over at vista right now if it werent for you two.

I always looked up port forwarding but for some reason it always looked complicated on how to sites.

You guys have any idea why the problem persisted in W7 but not in Vista, even though I had never forwarded the port before?

Ok it seems to be lagging in speed again. The port is forwarded properly.
