Below is what i see in my browser network page and what i see on my network map.
The tv(Panasonic viera) connects both wireless and via ethernet to the internet.
The tv sees the media player but when opened there are no files to play?
The technicolour is the router which is what the tv says is the media player?
The media is set to allow media streaming and the network drive is open.
Can someone please tell me what im doing wrong?

Since no one has any ideas on this i was thinking of deleting the network and re installing.
Can this be done and how if anyone can help?

Uninstalled lan adapter and reinstalled, tried to clear everything from network, disconnected from net and re connected and its now showing back to the original first post.

I give up and will have to make do with plugging my external hard drive into the TV to play my media.

Does the Viera have the latest firmware? What dongle are you using on the Viera, the Panasonic? You have both e-net and wireless attached at the same time?

The viera has the latest firmware
The Viera is wireless built in.
The Ethernet or wireless can be used they are not connected at the same time.
I have tried both wireless and wired.
The Viera can access the internet.
The dongle on my computer is a netgear.

Your set is newer than mine. I have a Panasonic dongle for the usb port, it well interface with the tv (65vt30) or the 3d blu-ray player. I just checked my network structure and all I get now is the DirectTV wifi, media serverer and media share renderer. The Panasonic no longer shows up...odd.
