Hi, is anyone able to help?

I have a problem with connecting Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD70 to PC with Windows 7 and graphic card MSI Nvidia Gforce GTX560 TI.

I have tried using Mini HDMI to HDMI cable, and also DFI to HDMI, but none of them work. I have only one HDMI socket in the TV. And on the card there is only mini HDMI and two DFI sockets.

In Nvidia Contro Panel there is an option to find the second screen, but it does not detect it. I have also tried to find it in Screen Resolution options, but it also does not see it.

I have had this TV connected in the past, but since upgrading to Win 7 (and also buying a new pc) I have been unable to do it.

I have also all the recent drivers for the graphic card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you select HDMI in the Panasonic's on-screen input signal menu?

Thanks Ski, I did. I have just noticed that I have two HDMI sockets in the TV, but I have tried both and none of them works.

Thanks Flakey, but I can't see this option on Win 7, there is only Sreen Resolution. I have tried detecting another display there, but it is not finding anything.

So you're saying that the Panasonic TV is not detected in Windows 7/Control Panel/Display/Adjust Resolution.

Make sure the computer and TV are both turned off when connecting the cable from the computer to the TV.
Next, turn on the TV, and select the correct HDMI port in the on-screen input signal menu.
Then, turn on the computer, and see if the TV is detected in Control Panel/Display/Adjust Resolution.
If it is, select the "Recommended" resolution for the TV, "Landscape" for Orientation, and "Extend These Displays" for Multiple Displays.
Then, click Apply or OK.

Thank you Ski, we are one step closer :-) Using your method (turning computer and tv off) and mini HDMI do HDMI cable computer has detected tv, but we can't see anything on the tv, there is just a black screen (it shows 1080p in the corner, and HDMI1 or HDMI2).When we've used DVI to HDMI cable it did not detect tv, but strangely, when the computer was starting up it was showing everything on the tv and nothing on the computer screen.

You're welcome.

See if any of the following work -

Configure the tv as the primary display.

Set the tv resolution to the same resolution as the monitor.

Configure the tv as the sole display in "Multiple Displays".

Hi Ski, thanks a lot. We have tried all these options but still without luck - and Windows 7 did not like it and decided to crash, even systems restore did not work. We had to recover Windows mirror image form another hard drive using Acronis... I'm just gonna have to give up :-(

You're welcome.
I noticed that HDTV is 4 years old. Sometimes that can cause problems, and using a newer one may work better.
