Paperport Documents

Do I need 'Paperport Documents'? I replaced a Brother printer with a newer Brother printer and this software seems to have come along for the ride. I don't recall having it in place previously ... and if I did have it, it wasn't something I knew about or thought I needed. Maybe it just worked in the background.

I'm hesitant to remove the program if it is vital for my scanning and/or printing jobs.

PaperPort is an application that you can use to manage your scanned documents - its optional only.
