Paranoid about FF4?

Hello again, sorry for the bother. So, recently, I have updated my FF3.6 to FF4 and really likes it a lot but I'm not sure what's wrong with all my web-surfing.

1.) When I go to certain page, it just hangs there and whenever I click onto 'Refresh', it will automatically be okay in a second.
2.) I also find out that some page like Hotmail and forums' layout to be completely different like it isn't been loaded properly but this couldn't be resolve with 'Refreshing'. And this happens not so often so I couldn't be too bothered with it.
3.) Nowadays, I would load some pages longer than before and often get a 'Page couldn't be loaded' sign.

I have tried...
Clearing the cookies.
Clearing the 'Offline storage'?
Reinstall and use no plugins.

I mean, is it me being all so paranoid or is it that my settings is wrong? I heard they can use hardware to accelerate pages, yeah? Is it my hardware, etc?

Anyone please give me valueable opinion, thanks!!!

even being a fan of ff myself I have noticed ff4 displaying a couple of pages incorrectly at times.
They are in a relatively basic format too so I don't know what's causing it.
I've actually reverted to using palemoon for the moment as ff4 does appear to still have a few glitches.

If you are using a Firefox profile from an earlier release, there are many things that can cause problems with FF 4.0.

1. Click on Help/Restart with Add-ons disabled, go into Safe Mode (accept the default settings when the Safe Mode menu appears,) and see if problems go away. If so, they are likely caused by Firefox extensions that have not been updated for 4.0, but which are active anyway. If so, return to normal use, disable half of your extensions, test; if problems gone, re-enable a few extensions, test, and so on.

2. If problems persist, it is likely that you need to create a new profile:

Profile Manager - MozillaZine Knowledge Base

Don't install any extensions or themes: Test first, and then, if all seems okay, start installing extensions/themes, keep testing until all seems well.

I've noticed some different problems with FF 4.0 profiles compared to earlier FF releases. For example, I had one incompatible extension which I forced to work with 4.0, which it did, but that created an irretrievable profile error. In the past, there were ways to fix this (which I won't bother to go into here,) but which failed, at least for me, with 4.0.

I've also seen that a few .sqlite database files that worked in previous 4.0 profiles would not work with new profiles; this, too, is not something I recall seeing with earlier profiles.

yes, I've actually seen ESET causing issues on some windows 7 machines. Like I said you aren't the only one to have experienced this behavior with ff4 though, and I personally have no third party connection, or firewall/AV software installed. So I wouldn't be ready to blame ESET right off the bat in this specific circumstance.

Questions:

1) If I create a new profile, will it be a plain vanilla? In other words, nothing from any old/existing profile will be added on this new profile?

2) If my "Default Profile" is corrupted or have changed, can I delete ALL my profiles to force FF to start fresh with a new one or do I have to do an un-install and re-install? (I am aware that I have to backup my bookmarks. That's no problem.)

I have been copying/renaming from my "Default Profile" for several updates, including Minefield nightly updates. This may be why I see the same problems mentioned here by forum members in this thread.

I have started without add-ons but obtained the same results.

If things appear to be okay, you can then copy certain files from your old profile to the new one; the link I provided in my first reply will show you which files in a profile do what and can, therefore, be copied. However, if you do copy, I suggest that you copy only one at a time (or, for such things as passwords, the pair of files needed,) and test after doing the copying; again, this is to ascertain that the copied file/s did not create any problem(s.)

Thank you, sir for all the help. I have tried running without any add-ons. I have been testing with this for a bit now and if things still happens, I will have to re-make a new profile.
