Password protect a folder or file

You can even do it through users and groups. create a new group. Add the ppl you want to have access to that folder. right click folder>properties>security>select user/group and allow access.

All other groups modify so they cant even read or open the folder

What i dont want is people having physical access to my computer to open a file.

So what i want is that if someone doubles click certain file or folder, he will be asked for a password.

Newtron,

You could password protect your user account, and make any other users on the computer to be Standard users instead of an administrator. This way you could just log off when done, and no one can access anything from within your user folders.
