Pasting images in Windows Live Mail

In Windows Mail on my Vista Desktop I was able to simply insert a picture into an e-mail no problem. But now with Windows 7 and using Windows Live Mail, when I try to insert a picture, it treats it as a photo and uploads it to SkyDrive. Is there any way I can simply insert a pic into an e-mail like I used to be able to? Would I be able to if I switched to Mozilla's Thunderbird? (sorry Microsoft)

Example:
I encountered an error in an app and so I used the Snipping Tool to grab an image with the intention of pasting it into the body of an e-mail to my brother. So, when he opens the message, he'll see the image. Instead, he sees a small thumbnail and has to click on it and wait, and wait, and wait for SkyDrive to load so he can better see the image I sent. Not cool.

When in live mail, the two ways are to go to attach or to insert.
If these commands do not show at the top of the page, then go to customize and make them show.

Right click on Live Mail toolbar then customize

Thanx for the reply! Following your advice, I selected "Show Menu Bar". After some tinkering, I found that when composing an e-mail, if I click on Insert drop-down menu and choose "Image" and then "Inline..." I can now place the pic in the body of text as intended at the correct size.
Once again, thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
I will stick with Windows Live Mail

I was stuck with no idea how to solve my problem. You helped me big time in explaining that I needed to "right click on Live Mail Toolbar and then customize" - something I was not aware of.
