Hello,

I bought a new USB keyboard last week, and it was working fine.

Today I was reseating the monitor VGA cable, and after that when I turned the PC on ,the USB keyboard wasn't recognized at all.

I plugged it into all of the USB ports I have, but it is not recognizable.

And also it is not listed in Device Manager.

Please help me.

Just a stab in the dark- unplug it. Shutdown. Plug it in. Reboot. Does Windows see it and install the driver when you get to the desktop?

I've tried that, but Windows doesn't see it and it doesn't install the driver.

I've just connected the keyboard to my smartphone via an OTG cable and it works fine.

So,the problem is not in the keyboard.

What kind of keyboard? Make and model?

It may be an IRQ thing. Not exactly sure.

Do any other USB devices work in the computer?

Go to search and type in device manager. Now look for the keyboard. Right click it and select uninstall.

Reboot the computer and allow the keyboard to install.

If the issue is not resolved type in Event Viewer in search and look for warnings and/or errors under the system and application under the Windows Logs drop down tree. You may find a few that are not even related to your issue. You could right click the system and application entries, save then zip those and upload here.

All of the USB ports work,I've tested them.

After I reseted the CMOS , I got stuck on this screen:

Imgur: The magic of the Internet

and I can not pass it and boot to Windows, because I need to press a key ,but my keyboard doesn't work.

At this point you're gonna need to use a PS/2 keyboard to have keyboard functionality. Then I'd press F1.

What is the exact make and model of computer? You may or may not have a PS/2 port.

Can you detach your hard drive cable temporally once and then boot and see if the keyboard works?

I was going to ask OP if the keyboard worked on another computer, however, I guess it is moot now.
