PC freezing after short period

Did you run WDO at boot? If not I would do so now from Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.

One reason may be that the infection is able to hide in running System files so is not detectable except in a boot scan. Use one of the bootable AV scans in tutorial above.

Both Malwarebytes and MSE Av were run in safe mode, i shall try again at boot.
