Solved pc powering off in the middle of installing updates

Hi, I am sorry if this question has been asked before.
I have put my pc back to 'factory settings'. I have now changed the option of having to signing in. Whilst the pc is installing 'updates' while in the process of closing down it completely wants to power off in the middle of installing the updates... how do I overide this option. What settings do I need to change.

Did you use recovery disks or the hidden recovery partition on the hard drive to return your pc back to factory settings?

It's possible that some system files were damaged or corrupted when the pc was set back to factory specs. You could try running a systm file checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two). If any problems are found, run the scan 3 times and reboot in between each scan.

You should also check your power plan settings. You can change how many minutes before the computer tries to shut down. There are some differences between a laptop and a desktop settings. Also, computer manufacturers may also add their own plan settings.

And there's always the possibility that the AC adapter (laptop) or power supply unit (desktop) may be failing.

Hi marsmimar, I done the recovery via the pc as I was still able to get Windows so I didn't have to use my discs.
I will try your suggestions and hopefully they will work, not very 'techy' but will give it a go. Thank you for your reply.

Hi marsmimar, I have done the Power Plan Settings,changing the Balanced Options to 'Never', I think this should be ok now. Thank you for your help.
