Hello- I have some issues that I do not understand showing up in Performance Monitor-System Diagnostics.

Could someone please explain to me the 3 Failures that are showing up in this picture (See Attachment) and help me find a remedy?... It would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

My usual disclaimer: I'm not an expert at anything. :)

Unless your computer is experiencing issues, I wouldn't place too much emphasis on these "failures". The Network Configured Fail Count shows 15 tests were run and there was 1 Network device failure. My best guess is that you booted your computer, the modem didn't immediately connect, it tried again and it succeeded. A failure was recorded but it could have been something as simple as a momentary power glitch from your electric company, an overloaded ISP server, etc.

Likewise, 163 tests were run for PlugAndPlay devices and 2 devices supposedly failed. Have you experienced any issues with your PlugAndPlay devices like external USB hard drives, printer, camera, etc or is everything working the way it should? Perhaps you plugged in an external hard drive (for example) and it wasn't recognized by the computer. So you unplugged it and tried again. This time the computer recognized it but a failure was recorded.

Hopefully a Forum member with more knowledge than me will jump in, but in the meantime, if your computer isn't having any issues ...

EDIT: Here's an old Microsoft article regarding PerfMon. In the Summary section it states:

The Performance Monitor utility Perfmon.exe may not display valid counter objects.
Not very reassuring and possible that this issue carried over to Windows 7.

Thank you, marsmimar... Yes, I totally agree with your analysis. I think my router/modem combo may need a reboot, or possibly a firmware update. The PnP issue, yes I know exactly what did that now- I plugged my phone into charge while I was long distance for an hour. I do NOT have the Samsung interface software installed on this pc, as it is brand new. Other then the HD 4600 onboard graphics driver doing a crash and recover every so often, the machine runs OK.
I appreciate your input.
