Permanently set some folders one way and other folders another

Hi all

I want the view of some folders to be permanently set as Extra Large Icons and other folders permanently set to List. Can I do this and if so, how?

Hello Colin, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Yes, you most certainly can.

By default, folder views will be the same as you last closed them. Each shortcut for that folder will have it's own folder view remembered for it. For example, opening your "My Documents" folder from the Start menu VS directly in Windows Explorer.

In addition, you can set all folders that use the same folder template to have the same folder views. These can still be changed individual as you like afterwards.

Once you have all folder views set the way you want, you could use the tutorial below to create a backup of them to be able to restore them as needed if something should change them later.
