I've hooked my old C drive up to an external dock and am transferring files to my new machine.
What I don't understand is why the new machine sees my old Documents and Settings hierarchy (it was Win XP) as protected. It keeps telling me that I need Administrator authority to delete them. But I am an Admin on this new machine. And it won't let me give the Everyone user Total Control.
I suppose I can skirt this in Safe Mode, but I wonder why it's happening.
Be well.
