Photo processing software suggestion

My wife loves to take photos and process them on the computer. I loaded Corel's Paint shop pro but she uses less than 10% of the features and it totally confuses her. I'd like a recommendation of some software that would allow her to upload photos from her camera and perform tasks like cropping, rotating, simple improvement, etc. Any suggestions?

A popular image viewer and editing program is Irfanview:
IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide

It can do quite a bit of processing and more with plugins. I have used it since Windows 98 days.

Edit: Note that the author does not host downloads and are available only from the popular download sites which often include unwanted programs. Exercise due care.

Hi,
Most will have more features than what you list so if that's the case just use Paint it is as basic and already installed as it gets.
If you have Office install it usually comes with Office Picture manager which i used for years and it does all basic functions you listed.

I personally use Photoshop elements along with Topaz plugins.
I also use FASTSTONE as a viewer and cropper. It also has basic but great basic editing facilitates. That would be be my pick - free - and a portable version.
