Solved Photoshop - Can't seem to find the loader

I have just installed photoshop CS5 32 & 54 Bit on my system and after it was installed I tried to open a piucture .JPG with it but cannot find the .exe file to point the loader at. If anyone can shed some light on this I would be very happy.

Hi, welcome to the forums

Try starting Photoshop while holding in Shift, Ctrl and Alt all together. This will force the app to delete the preferences and may solve the issue.

Trouble is I cant find the loader in the first place !,,I have tried looking in all the adobe folders but it doesnt seem to be there and it also doesnt seem to appear anywhere else.

You may want to try the Adobe CS5 remover tool and see if completely removing then re-installing CS5 helps with the issue. Make note of any messages that may appear during the install.

I could try it but i do know that its on here as my friend was using it before on here and i noticed the same thing.
When i just installed it there wreent any buttons to check/uncheck either.

Could the exe file have been deleted by accident? They could be in the recycle bin (if it's not been emptied yet).

Deffo not in there....Have u got any idea what the name of the exe file is ??? Then i can search for it !!!

I have Photoshop CS4 and the main executable is Photoshop.exe, should be the same for CS5

Located in...

c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5 (64Bit)\
and
c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\

OK thanks for the help mate,,not sure where it all disappeared to but removing it and re-installing it did the trick.
One last small problem,could you tell me how i can make the fill tool appear in the toolbar.

Glad it's now sorted

I think you're after the following...(if CS5 is similar to CS4)

Right-click the following area and you should get the paint bucket tool which works as a fill tool (default selection is the gradient tool).
