Own a Photosmart 335 Photo Printer, with a Windows 7 operating system.

HP informs me that this printer is not supported anymore.

This printer is the only printer I use for pictures, using the Photosmsrt C4580 uses to much ink, the pictures are to big to put in your billfold.

Does any one have any idea, short of blowing the 335 up, and buying a new photo printer.

As long as you can find ink cartridges that work, it really doesn't matter if HP supports the printer or not?

I'm not sure I understand: any idea for what????

If the printer works, has Win7-compatible drivers and there are available, compatible ink cartridges, I would continue to use it until it dies.

Perhaps you are saying that there are no HP Windows7-compatible drivers/software for the printer?
THAT would be a different issue.

I am on my Win10 box right now, and the HP drivers page has "sniffed that". But when I change to "Win7", nothing comes up.

So, if you could please explain a bit more about the issue or problem you're having, we could probably assist you a bit better.
If it's a lack of Win7-compatible drivers, that may, in fact, be the end of the road for you and this printer, unless you have some sort of VM or dual-boot set-up with Windows XP.

Decent inkjet printers are pretty cheap these days. It might be time for a new one?

Cheers,
MM

And a Win7/64 Pro laptop; And a Win10/64 Pro desktop.
Photosmart 335 icon shows up in the " Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers. With a Yellow triangle.
When trying to print the printer doesn't show in the list of printers. I have used this printer with Windows XP and vista, with no problem. Its been a couple of years sense I've used it.

Hope this helps.

This would suggest that no driver is loaded for the printer, if the driver is not available then this is one Out of the left field possibility to continue using the printer ...

If you have the Pro or higher version of Windows 7 and suitable hardware then you can run the Microsoft XP Mode virtual OS which will allow you to use your existing XP driver and may even allow you to print to the device from Windows 7, (if not it will allow you to use the mode for printing only)

Yep, thanks @Barman58.

I had a feeling that lack of drivers was the OP's issue.
I agree that the XP Mode Virtual OS might be a workaround, if the OP's system specs are suitable.

If not (or perhaps even if so), given the relatively low cost of decent printers these days, it might be time to donate the Photosmart 335 to a good charity and to upgrade to a newer model with Win7-compatible drivers...

Cheers!
