php pages in IE10

I have made some very simple php pages for different people. Since I updated to IE10 on the last Windows Updates, when I view the pages in IE 10, all I see is the code that was written. When I was using IE9 there was no problem viewing these pages.

How do I get the actual page to show instead of the code script?

Try clicking the compatibility view icon next to the address bar perhaps? Looks like a broken page, as in Shawn's tute

These are pages on a server on the web correct? Not local on your PC?

You might try using the F12 Developer tools to change the browser mode. I don't have IE10 installed, but assume something in the PHP code is read different for IE10 (obviously).

If you are trying to make your pages IE10 compliant, that's beyond me. You might also try running IE10 without extensions to see if the pages display correctly

Start> In search box type run> Enter> In run box type iexplore -extoff> Enter

I just installed Belarc Advisor, and the installation and running it seems OK (no errors).
Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit, for software, hardware and security configuration information on your computer. Software license management, IT asset management, cyber security audits, and more.

When I run it, it opens the html source code (for the report) with Notepad++.
It does create the HTML report page link, and I can find it in Explorer and open it in a browser.
I only mention this because this program is also displaying source code and not opening the Web page report, and IE 10 is installed...

I'm going to play around with this on some other systems, and see how they work...
I'll post back if I find anything more...

Nope - all fine here - new tab created happily and no untoward windows opened. The tab appears exactly as it should do.

I don't have any default for .php from what i see (below).
I haven't seen the issue with PHP that huffman reported in the OP.
I just mentioned what i did because I see source code when I expect to see an HTML web page for the Belarc report...
My association for .html is Firefox, my default browser...

Maybe it's FF that's palming it off to Notepad++??
See what happens if you change your default browser to IE and then run Belarc - then switch back to FF and try again.

Tried them and it always opens the Belarc results in Notepad++
IE as the default opens Notepad++ source file, and switching back to FF still does.

I'm really not concerned for myself about this, I just mentioned it because I see a similarity in the OP issue.
I don't want to hijack this thread, or confuse the issue.
For me, it's on a Test box and I can restore it...

I found and fixed my issue with Belarc Advisor opening the report with Notepad++.
It has nothing to do with IE 10.
I found an incorrect registry setting that Belarc somehow used to open the report.
I apologize for sidetracking this thread.

I probably should delete the Notepad++_backup key, but I want to check some other systems before doing that...

Interesting that the change didn't show in the Default Programs listing!

Could be the same issue with the .php for our OP??
