Picas - Help with Editing My People Albums

For some reason I am now unable to edit my people albums contacts email addresses in Picasa
I have all my family photos as thumbnails, so don't want to mess things up
Just want to be able to right click a name and click edit people album and then change the email address
Including my own
it is not set as the email address linked to picasa for some reason

It is the thumbnails albums in picasa
When you right click the name it brings up the edit menu
But I am unable to change anything in each persons profile there
All info is greyed out.
Many of them are showing old email addresses
And mine is showing an email I no longer have
Can anybody tell me how I can change this please
I am not bothered about syncing faces on web albums
Just don't want to do anything that makes me lose the thumbnails
