PlayReady "update" feature in WMCenter in Windows 7 ...

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]... I have tried and tried, and tried again i get the loop and after saying it is "updating" it loops back to this image I paste below:[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]Cause unless I fix this i will not be able to use WMC the way i have used it for the last 5 years.[/FONT]

Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady and delete the mspr.hds file.

Then it will create a new file and you will be good to go.

Have you exited Media Center? If you have reboot, do not start media center and you should be able to delete the file. If not see the tutorial about take ownership of a file.

Tried your suggestion, error persists

File got deleted and a new one created later. Still same error message. I have ownership of the file but the PlayReady error message persists
