If I plugged a HDMI cable into my graphics card, would it then run on my pc monitor and give me sound through my analogue speakers?

As HDMI stands for "High-Definition Multimedia Interface" it probably will. Why not just try it?

You're talking about connecting a PS3 to your PC by plugging an HDMI cable from the PS3 into the port on the graphics card?
Sounds unlikely. The HDMI port of the card is an output; I doubt that it's intended to accept signals from other devices.
Let us know whether it works. Especially let us know if it smokes the card or the PS3.

you could plug the hdmi to ur ps3 and to ur monitor if your monitor has hdmi port.
