I'm having major issues when trying to sign into eu.playstation.com in any browser (IE, Chrome, FF4).
  • Sometimes I get the sign-in screen and sometimes not
  • Keeps redirecting me to the "Sign In/Sign Up" screen
  • Sometimes not loading at all
Sign-In Popup

If anyone else has a european PSN account can you please try to access it, or even the US (or other) site to see if it's either just me, or just the EU site.

Thanks

PSN (Playstation Network) Downage

First of all I will like to start off by saying if this thread has been posted before on this forum, I do apologize and could mods please remove

Are there any PSN users on the forum? Psn has been down from thurs @ Approx 4 AM and has not been online since. Rumors say that "Anonymous" hacking group are the cause of the system down time. Sony has not confirm this, in fact they have provided little information about the down time. Many of us gamers on other forums are eager for the servers to come back online as we are missing out on some COD.

please : Refrain from any console wars, I'm not trying to start any.

PlayStation Network unavailable

PlayStation Network is not available at present. This could be for a number of reasons including scheduled maintenance or essential updates and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. In the meantime, you can continue to explore the world of PlayStation at eu.playstation.com.

Keep an eye on http://www.twitter.com/PlayStationEU for updates and the PlayStation Network bar at the top of the PC version of the site to find out when the service is back up and running.

Get the latest on PSN service outages.

We sincerely regret that PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been suspended, and we are working around the clock to bring them both back online. Our efforts to resolve this matter involve re-building our system to further strengthen our network infrastructure. Though this task is time-consuming, we decided it was worth the time necessary to provide the system with additional security.

We thank you for your patience to date and ask for a little more while we move towards completion of this project. We will continue to give you updates as they become available.

Follow us on Twitter @PlayStationEU for live updates.

Thank you for your patience.

lol ps3 is my life. Been a PS from PS1.

in other news.

are psn plus users safe? Sony doesn't know if PSN+ users credit details might of been stolen.

Brian Crecente — Sony has not yet determined if the personal information or credit card numbers of users on the still-offline Playstation Network have been stolen, according to a Sony spokesman.

Sony Computer Entertainment is conducting "thorough investigation" into the outage, Satoshi Fukuoka, a spokesman for Sony Computer Entertainment in Tokyo, told PC World.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America spokesman Patrick Seybold reiterated Fukuoka's statement, confirming that Sony is still looking into whether credit card or other personal information were taken during the "external intrusion."
Both declined to provide more information about the intrusion that led the company to take the global Playstation Network down last week. The network remains down as of Monday morning.

In an update this morning, Seybold said there is no update or timeframe for getting the network back up yet.

"As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we're working to get them back online quickly," he wrote. "We'll keep you updated with information as it becomes available. We once again thank you for your patience."

Seybold said over the weekend that officials were working around the clock to rebuild the network.

Yes, this Sony fiasco is getting better by the hour. Or day I guess...since we don't get updates frequently.

tell me about it.

This just in - Chuck Norris tried to create a PSN account and the system could not handle the complexity of his username...

lol in a more serious matter.

On Monday, the Japanese electronics giant said it is keeping its PlayStation Network videogame service offline indefinitely following a hacking attack it now says may have compromised user’s information.

To ensure the network’s integrity, Sony said it is currently rebuilding the service, which connects more than 75 million PlayStation customers over the Internet, letting them play videogames and chat together.

“This is a time intensive process and we’re working to get them back online quickly,” Sony spokesman Patrick Seybold said in a blog post.

Sony is still investigating the “external intrusion” that forced the electronics giant to shut down its network last Wednesday. In an email, the company also said it is also trying to figure out if any personal information, such as credit card numbers, may have been compromised in the attack.

Update on PlayStation Network and Qriocity

Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve the current outage of PlayStation Network & Qriocity services. We are currently working to send a similar message to the one below via email to all of our registered account holders regarding a compromise of personal information as a result of an illegal intrusion on our systems. These malicious actions have also had an impact on your ability to enjoy the services provided by PlayStation Network and Qriocity including online gaming and online access to music, movies, sports and TV shows. We have a clear path to have PlayStation Network and Qriocity systems back online, and expect to restore some services within a week.
We’re working day and night to ensure it is done as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and feedback.
Valued PlayStation Network/Qriocity Customer:
We have discovered that between April 17 and April 19, 2011, certain PlayStation Network and Qriocity service user account information was compromised in connection with an illegal and unauthorized intrusion into our network. In response to this intrusion, we have:
Temporarily turned off PlayStation Network and Qriocity services;
Engaged an outside, recognized security firm to conduct a full and complete investigation into what happened; and
Quickly taken steps to enhance security and strengthen our network infrastructure by re-building our system to provide you with greater protection of your personal information.
We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding and goodwill as we do whatever it takes to resolve these issues as quickly and efficiently as practicable.
Although we are still investigating the details of this incident, we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state, zip), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained. If you have authorized a sub-account for your dependent, the same data with respect to your dependent may have been obtained. While there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility. If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity, out of an abundance of caution we are advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have been obtained.
For your security, we encourage you to be especially aware of email, telephone, and postal mail scams that ask for personal or sensitive information. Sony will not contact you in any way, including by email, asking for your credit card number, social security number or other personally identifiable information. If you are asked for this information, you can be confident Sony is not the entity asking. When the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services are fully restored, we strongly recommend that you log on and change your password. Additionally, if you use your PlayStation Network or Qriocity user name or password for other unrelated services or accounts, we strongly recommend that you change them, as well.
To protect against possible identity theft or other financial loss, we encourage you to remain vigilant, to review your account statements and to monitor your credit reports. We are providing the following information for those who wish to consider it:
U.S. residents are entitled under U.S. law to one free credit report annually from each of the three major credit bureaus. To order your free credit report, visit www.annualcreditreport.com or call toll-free (877) 322-8228.
