In principle that is possible. You must, however, also delete the D: partition so that you get a contiguous unallocated space. If you have stuff on D:, save it first.

Question though - why do you want that many partitions. Usually you are better off with one big partition which you subdivide into folders. That is more flexible.

Hi,
I just wanted to understand the benefits of a single large partition. I also have the similar configuration and want to have a separate partition other then the window7 partition for storing my data. This is because in past i realized that partition containing the OS is more prone to viruses/trogens etc.. and needs to be formatted in one or two years. OR do you have some other technique by which formatting of the OS partition can be prevented.
Many thanks in advance.
Rgds,
Bhupender

Save a Win7 backup image of your install when it's running best: Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

Then if Win7 ever becomes irreparable you can reimage the HD or its replacement in 20 minutes using the backed up image. System Image Recovery

A benefit of having a separate data partition is that it makes this image smaller, and that if you need to reimage you have the data waiting in its own separate partition and ready when you reimage just the OS/Programs partition.

Partition or Volume - Shrink
Partition or Volume - Create New
User Folders - Change Default Location
