Please Help! Multiple BSODs!

everyone totally ignores what i said then! er thanks for that!

I did not mean to ignore your post. However, all of the other posts had actions that were suggested for me to do, so I posted updates and questions on those actions.

To answer your question, I use my computer many times a day, and for at least a few hours every day. It stays on most days in sleep mode, however my crashes and issues can occur on a fresh boot. Hopefully it is not a hardware problem between the processor and board, however it is looking more and more like it is going to be a hardware issue. My system specs are in my profile, and I have updated to the latest
BIOS in my efforts to resolve these issues. Thank you for your input.

I just built a computer for a friend with the M4A785-M and he was getting an error on startup for surge protection. (Luckily no BSOD's though)

There is an option in the BIOS to enable/disable power surge protection. Can you enable it (or check to see if its enabled) and see if it gives you an error on startup? your board might be overloading or underpowered even though your PSU is fine, the mobo might be doing something funky.

Just something to check I am joining this conversation late, but all of you have an Asus board.

The only other similarity is that all of you also have ram running at 1333hz. So Memtest is a good idea as well. If it passes memtest, try running memtest on each individual stick. There might be a bad spot on one of the sticks that is not being seen.

Edit: for the 1333hz, is anyone able to change the frequency? underpower the ram or put in a diff speed ram?

I don't either, I am not into changing electrical spec's and this would be something a guru in this forum would know. I was hoping someone would see it and advise.

Maybe, but I built my pc in November, and didn't start getting blue screens until February, and they have become more and more frequent lately. Is this common for a hardware issue? Seems like that would show up immediately. I dont really know. Maybe I have a virus or something.

Jasari, your memory management problem is MpFilter.sys which is part of MSE. Completely uninstall that from your system to alleviate bsod.

Can't hurt to do a full system scan with Malewarebytes too.

Ok, cool. Do you think Symantec Endpoint security would be a good options for antivirus, and to use to do the scan with? I can get a full, legit version for free from my school is why i'm asking. Thanks.

eset smart security would be my reccomendation. i last used symantec in 2003 its gone downhill.

eset slow scans your system constantly and has an early threat sense warning. it does not hog resources either.

I took the chicken way out and brought my pc in to a place. It looks like it is a compatibility issue between my video card and windows 7. This is weird though because my card is listed on Windows website as compatible. Don't know. I might call the manufacturer of the card and ask some questions.
