It's kinda nice in a way that I am not the only one having this most puzzling issue.
Running a Windows 7 Pro license bought directly from Microsoft's web store. Earlier this year I had this exact same issue with Windows 7 Home Premium, which again I bought from Microsoft, and now ironically it's telling me it's not genuine. Again. This was a fresh install on a new hard drive.
The only thing that I can think of that would remotely have any relation to this is that I had the power controller repaired in May. However, I don't even think that's on the motherboard, nor can I even fathom why it would lock out the install anyway. This just started suddenly happening a few days ago I think.
In any case, I tried manually activating it when it started, and today did the telephone activation. Both said successful, but I still get the popup. I have seen malware popups that aren't this annoying!

Thanks for the help.
