Please help with FB problem

One of my wife's friends was having a similar problem with her FB. I went to look at it, turns out that she had NoScript installed & wasn't allowing everything. If I remember correctly, in addition to allowing FB, you have to allow 2 other items for FB to show up properly. If you have NoScript running on your FF, that may be the problem.

Maybe this. I too had noscript running, but had allowed everything except google-analytics so...

Check the option on the top of the NoScript list "Temporarily allow all this page", refresh the page & see if that yields any results.

If not, disable NoScript in FF & go back to FB. If the page shows up without problems, then there is something in NoScript that has been blacklisted which is preventing FB from loading all the way.

UPDATE:

got rid of noscript and FB works 100% now so yay!

but

LinkedIn doesn't. Can't view my profile or that of others. Can't see who's viewed my profile either. Funny thiong is I had the same problem on my laptop til one day I got a message to update flash (I think). Did that and bam! it worked. So I updated Flash on my desktop too but it still wouldn't work so now I am wondering if there isn't anything else that might need updating/installing to make the site work...

Again, all help appreciated.

In doing some Googling, there are both Privacy and Security settings that can cause these issues (I don't use it myself).

Your CONNECTIONS number is black,
and that means who has viewed you
isn't tracked because when you are
anonymous looking at people, LinkedIn
turns off the option for us to see who has viewed us.

Change your setting so everyone can see you when you view their profile, and you will see who has viewed yours.

Check the box under Secure connection.
Click Done.
Move your cursor over your name in the top right of the page and select Sign Out.
Click Sign In at the top of the page and view any profile.

UPDATE:
got rid of noscript and FB works 100% now so yay!

I'm not sure that's a good trade off there. NoScript is a good add-on to stop malicious scripts from running in the background. You can always choose to disable NoScript when you go to FB, but you might want to consider putting it back on. Any layer of security you can get nowadays should be taken advantage of.
