Solved Plz help, monitor randomly shuts off/system still on

Hi guys I have recently started to have a problem with my computer while playing certain games, such as: Counter- Strike source (quite an old game), Mass effect 2, home-front, etc… my screen just shuts down. I tried two different screens and that isn’t the problem, tried running GPU stress tests, ran 3 different anti- viruses… don’t know what to do…

When the screen shuts off the computer still working (power on but i think the computer it self freezes since it often replays last sound contentiously) it just makes a noise like the fans start running on higher rpms… also if i try to turn the computer off and on the screen says "no connection" (both of them)

The funny thing is when I play LoL it doesn’t shut off, also it does so randomly regardless on what settings I play the game.

You could have a bad connection or your video card could be on its way to the afterlife. It would be great if it's the former... I kinda think it's the latter. Do you have a spare video card, or a friend who will let you borrow on to test?

You don't mention what PSU you have... can you?

Is there any way to test if its video card other then just testing a new one and seeing if there is a difference?

Unfortunately, without another card, we can't say anything with certainty, but what we can do is thoroughly test the rest of the machine... that would at least narrow things down.

Run it for a few hours... 8 if possible. If the system has issues, this will find it. What video card benchmarks did you try?

Sorry, im not really understanding what you mean by benchmarks?
I don't think i ever changed any
(if you mean overclocking i never overclocked anything)

Also that prime program, is 32 bit ok or do i need 64?

You said you ran two different "stress tests"... aka benchmarks... what tests did you run?

one was "FurMar" and the other is the Nvidea stress test in the "nvidea monitor"

Do you have the nvidia system tools installed? If so, uninstall them.

How did Prime95 go?

Yes. nTune is notorious for crashing rigs and cards; if you're having graphics card issues, it's the first thing you uninstall to try and fix your problem.

If you want to OC the card, there are better tools. If you want to keep an eye on temps, there are better tools that are far less resource hungry.

How did Prime95 go?

ran it for 3 hours, passed everything...

its still running now, will it give me a stress test report when its done or do i just need to turn if off?

You just turn it off.

Not sure what to suggest. G92's had a lot of heat related issues. Can you take the side panel off your case and make sure the fan is spinning on the card?

Something is making the monitor turn off... and since you've tried 2 working monitors and Primed for a few hours, everything points to the card. Either it's overheating or it's dying. Let's hope for overheating.

ya, i did and u have it off atm and the fan is spinning... unfortunately that doesn't help much... im sending the card back to the manufacturer for testing hopefully that helps

A shot in the dark, pull the graphics card out and re-seat it, sometime they can get a bit loose. If there is another available slot for it, try that too.

With the graphics card out, make sure it is not full of dust. This caused another user's monitor to shut off due to over heating.

did that already took it out 4 times at thi point and blew it out like no tomorrow... and while there is a different slot on my motherboard for it... it wont fit there, also i got the newest drivers

I don't understand why you can't "fit" the card into another pci-e slot... that board has 3 pci-e 16x slots. 2 are free right now?

Your video driver is 275.33, 05/20/2011, then?
you might have a look at your advanced power setting and make sure the monitor isn't set to shut down.
