I have a Nvidia GTX 470 that i bought about a month ago this 1 (Scan.co.uk: Point of View NVIDIA GTX 470 Graphics Card - VGA-470-1A) and noticed there is a charged and turbo chared edition of my card now as far as all my research shows there all the same card just the other 2 have been OC'd obviusly, so i was wondering if i would be able to safly get my 1 to OC to these setting as there not much higher and i know all cards are unique but it does not look like much of a leap to me and i have done this with the GTX 460 in the past and that done this same task fine. Also wanted to know if anyone else has tryed this with my GPU and how it went and what temps you get?

Try downloading Evgas Precision. It will allow you to overclock the card and test the settings to see if it will run at them.
Also monitor temps, and adjust fan speed.

MSI Afterburner would be better as you'll possibly have to increase the voltage as well. I've had my 470 overclocked to the same speeds as a 480 and it was fine. I increased the voltage to that of a 480 as well. Not running at them settings now as I didn't bother overclocking it again when I last re-installed Windows.

I'll have to download MSI afterburner and familiarize myself with it since it seems every time I suggest precision someone mentions MSI afterburner.

Thanks. Fabe

It's very similar to Precision really, just it has a voltage option as well.
