Check for infection, system file integrity, establish a Clean Boot, check System Resources for problems and solutions, from the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.

I notice you have Win2000 style graphics instead of the beautiful Win7 aero theme which uses no extra resources. Why not pick an Aero Theme in Control Panel>Personalize to see immediate improvement.

Of course if it's the original factory install that is the worst install of Win7 one can possibly have, which no tech enthusiast would ever keep. So I'd strongly consider doing a Clean Reinstall Windows 7 to finally enjoy perfect Win7 performance on that PC.

Then compare the install you did with the install in Clean Reinstall Windows 7 because if you're making assumptions like turning off Aero will save RAM, then there are likely other mistakes being made.

Out of 1.2 million consumers who have followed and stuck with those steps, not a single one has ever complained or returned with issues based on our recommendations.

.i just installed windows 7 again....for the 3rd time
