You may not be aware, but I just put this whole computer together 2 days ago. It takes a lot to make me want to reinstall the cooler right now, but I'll do it if it will help temps. But, I'll be D***** if I am going to do it twice for anyone!

Note the temps,my room temp is ~23.3C

Not yet, I back off for awhile to chill out some.

EDIT: I think this, my 3rd ASrock oard, is another piece of TaiPei junk. I checked my UEFI settings and they are as I had left them. However nothing has "taken". FBS is 190, I set it at 240. CPU runs at 2.6 and it's a 2.8 which I had at 3.36. RAM is 1866 and was running at 1880, now is running at 760.
I'm really beginning to think out of the entire produstion run of this Fatal1ty 990FX Pro about 17 were good ones, since I've on the 3rd PITA board. BAH!

I have problems with my RAM as well (same board) Not as bad as that tho. ASRock need to release a more stable BIOS ASAP. I'm not happy that I can't run my RAM full speed

Releasing more good boards would help a lot too.:sarc:
This after a simple reboot. UEFI is set at FSB 240 and multi 14. Checked CMOS battery it is 3.10V.

Gary, can you tell whether it is the board or is CPUz reading it wrong? I know the new chipsets it reads some things wrong as do other utilities.

I think it's the board Steve, here's some other things happening which I've emailed ASSRock about...

USB fails to power up
Constant freezes
Blue Screens
UEFI settings do not keep although they show as correct within UEFI
Hit and miss if installed RAM is reconized, mostly miss
NB and SB heatsinks too hot to touch
Eltron USB control chips can fry eggs, very hot
No POST quite often
Freeze in UEFI on restart
Made by ASRock

I almost bought an ASrock board myself several times in the past few years. I had actually heard a lot of good things about them as of late. They used to have a reputation for being the board you settled for when you couldn't afford the one you wanted, then lately have been trying very hard to break into the top-tier "full-feature" category. I guess they're not quite there yet.

You're well overdue for a change in luck.

Thanks Bill & Steve. Most ASRock boards have good reviews, even mine. Pfffsstt. I'm running memtest again, but I suspect it will be fine.
EDIT: Yeah memtest was passed but it shows wrong info. Do you all have the same issues?
