Power Kernal Event 41 task 63

This thing was idle overnight and i woke up finding it restarted so I checked the event viewer and it gave that id error. It's the second time that this has happened so far. I've tried a lot of forums and got no answer at all for this, seems like it's an unsolvable issue.

My computer is barely a month new, i've already tried running virus scans, memtest86+, windows checkdisk, etc and no errors showed up for any of them.

I tried disabling the other hd audio device thats installed in my device manager so I'll see if that fixes things. I'll also copy the error log from the event viewer incase anyone wants to read it.

Unfortunately No DMP included in upload try this alternate method.

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Start your own thread in the appropriate section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

Have you overclocked your GPU at all?

You are getting plenty of errors, most likely related to network. Install these updated Realtek NIC drivers: Realtek

EDIT: I see your reply Ken. The OP has had no BSODs, only Kernel Power 41's. No minidumps exist in the folder.

Yep wondered how long we would sit here. There is an interesting article on event id 41 task 63 on technet. But it is 5 parts long..

Can only be sorted with params in DMP's.

Nothings overclocked, except XMP profile is on. Temps are quite okay..GPU idles at 35°C and cpu idles around 26-28. I thought kernal event 41 was considered a bsod?

Nope event ID's are merely logging what happened. BSOD's are the memory contents written to a file that we can read.

I would as a start revert everything back to default. Does it error out in safe mode?

Has it always done this?

These are usually difficult because they have so many possible causes. without a DMP file to examine we have to just get as basic a system as you can. then add parts back till it happens.

it's only happened twice...10 days ago and this morning.... Haven't tried safe mode yet though. Should I try to clear cmos if it happens again?

I wouldn't yet. Thats always possible if they become more frequent. If it has only happened twice they may be flukes.

Sometimes when you leave the computer running for extended periods those things can happen from power fluctuations etc.

You have to decide how annoying (thats all they are) they are to you.

I doubt there's anything in the CMOS that would cause that, honestly.

Just install those drivers for now, hopefully it won't happen again.

Thanks guys.. I'll reinstall those realtek drivers for now.. maybe it is from power fluctuation because i had the computer on for 2 days before that and then I ran benchmarks the evening before the crash. I'll probably have to get into the habit of shutting down every night =(

Honestly, system uptime shouldn't have anything to do with it, unless heat is an issue.

I checked my system uptime: 8 days 16 hours, and the only reason it isn't 25 days is because we had a power outage.

UPDATE: The thing rebooted itself while trying to do pcmark vantage tests, it restarts itself just about 20 minutes into testing... i wasn't even running anything in the background. Happened twice today, both time while using pcmark and both times 20 minutes into it
