what does everyone think of PowerDVD 10 i find it a great media player but i found the cuda feature does not work and the cpu usage on it with cuda enabled is still the same as when its disabled.

it uese 7% with cuda enabled and disabled on a Core i7 980x and my cards are GTX480s + 285 for physics and cuda tools. :p

But overall its the best player i have used since Media player classic 32bit and 64bit due to its ability to up the FPS of any movie it plays:D

I have been trialing it and I like it, but it gave me me some distorted blocky images occasionally when playing Blu-ray movies. This only happened on two movies so far and for the most part the software is great. My laptop came with Corel Windvd BD already installed and that has played every Blu-ray flawlessly even the two that gave me issues when I was using Powerdvd 10. However, the sound on Powerdvd 10 was louder and that is a plus b/c that was the only complaint I had with Windvd BD, sometimes the sound just wasn't loud enough on my laptop speakers.

I think for now I am not going to buy Powerdvd 10 after the trial runs out and just stick to Windvd BD b/c, well it doesn't cost me anything as it was already on my laptop and it has played everything I throw at it. My laptop has an i7 720m with an Nvidia GT 330m 1gb video card. The CPU runs about 7% on mine too when playing movies.

there will be more patches to come for the new driectX 11 Video interface for powerdvd 10/10.1

i have had no probs with on playback but there was the odd error in 3D mode on Nvidia 120HZ setting but in the 100HZ setting (CRT 1024x768) it was not there i think its just a glitch in drivers and/or the codec.:sarc:

i use my Samsung 3d enabled 22" for 3d games and movies its good but its 3ms so there is the odd part where u can see ghosting buts its small.

i did find it runs better on 8 cores than all 12 (Note Core i7 980x has hyperthreading 6=12) and i can still play games and watch my anime and my family Guy dvds. And i do somtimes watch star trek shows and play Star trek online, Eve or wow when im just farming and grinding.:D
