Pro Evolution Soccer 5 crashes on Windows 7.

Hi there

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit at present, and I dug out my old Pro Evolution Soccer 5 game and tried to play it but I get an APPCRASH error when I try to open both the pes5.exe and the settings.exe.

Here's one of the error messages:-

It used to work when I first put Windows 7 on my machine, but for some reason it doesn't want to work now? It seems to have stopped working after I installed the latest DirectX, I tried running the DirectX from the PES5 CD but it's not made any difference :(

Please can somebody help me as I really wanted to play this old game that I bought back in the day :(

Cheers

You answerd your problem & your solutions itself...Listen when you install a higher version of any software most of them dont allow or even after allowing the lower versions to install, doesnt mean that they will work. For example..if you install Directx9.0c for COD_MW2 then it wont allow anyother Directx ersions to work for other games on the same PC.
Simply uninstall the game & offcourse the Latest Directx Version then Reinstall it from the game CD.
If it doesnt work...format your C: drive or the place where you have installed the game with your driver.
Always try to make separate drive for games..so that it doesnt harm your actual OS in any case.
Goodluck mate...;)
