I have a new problem that seems to just appeared and I am not sure how to fix. This is happening across multiple O/S (7, 8.1 and 10), but not all affected.

Two items are this
Router - I have a thumb drive that I use to store pictures, programs, etc. so I can go from computer to computer and just copy them to the computer

Freenas - library of videos, files, etc

Win7 machines - None of my Win7 machines cannot see either one anymore
Win8.1 machine - Same here
Win10 machine - It does see the thumb, but not the freenas box

From my win7 machine I tried to access the freenas box via IP and even that I cannot get in. Same with Win10 machine

I am not sure if this has to do with the recent updates from Microsoft as I had installed the old KB4099950, then uninstalled it, rebooted, installed KB4093118.

I am not sure what's going so here I am looking for help.

Is the nas on the same IP and subnet as the router or you won't see it

Yes samuria and thanks for the quick reply. Update, I figured out one part of the problem. For some reason the USB port where the FreeNAS is loaded on was dead. Hooked up a monitor and it just booted to the UEFI. Changed the USB to another port and now it boots up fine. Tried seeing it again under the Network and the FreeNAS does not show up under the Network. But if I type in the \\name of system it then gives me access. I shut the FreeNAS down, put the USB back to the original port and now it boots up fine. Hmmmm

I think I am going to reboot my whole network. Shutdown everything, router and cable modem, computers, etc and then bring things back on line and see if that fixes this. I'll give an update a little later.

UPDATE: After shutting everything down including the router and cable modem everything is working fine. All Win7 machines see the FreeNAS and thumb in the router. Win8.1 and Win10 machines also see those two items. Looks like a case of the network got "constipated". Thanks for the help
