Ok. Hello everybody! First post, first problem. :o

So, I had a dual boot of two Win XP Pro SP3. Each Os was on a separate HDD.
I erased the first one and installed Win 7 RC1 there.
During the installation I had disconnected all the other HDD's along with the on that had the 2nd Win XP.
After the installation of Win 7 I lost the dual boot menu and the pc boots directly on Win 7.
I tries EasyBCD to get the dual boot back but here is the problem.
I followed the guide to fix the dual boot but nothing happens.
I managed to display the dual boot menu but when I choose Win XP, the pc reboots automatically. On the other hand, I can boot on Win 7 normally.

So, what am I missing here?

Here are some screenshots that might help:

It's not clear from your method if you installed Seven from within the remaining XP OS.
I did, and things work fine for me but sorry that does not help you.

I think that it has to be the boot.ini that causes this problem but I don't know how to correct it. Anyone else knows?

I am no expect but I do know that seven no longer uses boot.ini

Yes I know that Vista/7 no longer uses boot.ini but the boot.ini is essential for the XP to boot. So, I am suspecting that this could be the problem..
