Hello Niloo and welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds like that last DVD might be bad. Do you still have a hidden recovery partition on your Asus? You can try this:

Start your computer. IMMEDIATELY start clicking the the F9 key and keep clicking. This should access the hidden recovery partition (providing your hard drive wasn't formatted and everything erased.) If the recovery option appears you might see these options:

1. The first partition is deleted (the others remain intact) and a new system partition C: will be created.
2. This option removes all the partitions from the hard drive and creates a new system partition C:.
3. This option removes all the partitions from the hard drive and creates two new partitions C: (60% of the drive’s storage capacity) and D: (40%).

You want to select # 1 and follow the instructions. If you don't have a hidden recovery partition you could do a clean install. (Everything on your hard drive would be erased.) Or you could contact Asus to buy a new set of recovery disks.

Post a screen shot of Windows Disk Management.

If you have an installation disk, you can do a clean install or possibly a repair install.

If you do not have an installation disk, you could go to another computer, download a Windows 7 ISO from mydigitallife.info, burn it do a disk, and do a clean install. Activate with your existing Product Key.

Or you could borrow a friend's Windows disk and do a clean install from it, if the friend's version matches your product key.

I assume you cannot boot your own PC?

That Windows disk may be damaged or may be illegal or whatever. I have no idea.

You can download and burn another one from mydigitallife.info.

But I'd concentrate on your recovery partition first by posting a screen shot of Windows Disk Management. Do that.

If you have a recovery partition, it should be accessible during the boot process with a certain key combination--probably a Function Key. I don't know what the correct key is on an Asus computer. Look at your user's manual or Google for the correct key.

If not, find another computer and download a Windows 7 ISO from mydigitalife.info, burn it to a disk, and install from it.

Or borrow a known good install disk for the same version of Windows as you now have.

If you cannot boot from your existing installation disk, you have a bad disk or a faulty DVD drive. I have no idea which.

Try holding down the F9 key during a reboot. That may bring up a menu allowing you to use the recovery partition--if you have one.

I found these instructions, but I'm not sure they will work on your particular model:

Using the Recovery Partition(on selected models)
1. Press < F9 > during bootup.
2. Press [Enter] to select Windows Setup [EMS Enabled].
3. Select the language you want to recover and click Next.
4. Read the ASUS Preload Wizard messages and click Next.
5. Select a partition option and click Next. Partition options:

Recover Windows to first partition only.

This option deletes only the first partition and allows you to keep other partitions, and to create a new system partition as drive "C".

Recover Windows to entire HD.

This option deletes all partitions from your hard disk drive and creates a new system partition as drive "C".

Recover Windows to entire HD with two partitions.

This option deletes all partitions from your hard drive and creates two new partitions "C" (25%) and "D" (75%).

6. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the recovery process.

That would be my guess.

Unless you can confirm some other F key is needed to access the recovery partition.

If your recovery disks do not work and you cannot access your recovery partition, you don't have much choice other than a clean install.

It's possible you might be able to do a repair install with a Windows installation disk, but I wouldn't count on it.

I'd do a clean install. I hope you have your data backed up.
